Friday afternoon, Sept. 9 and Saturday, Sept. 10, Madalyn’s Kitchen will open for breakfast and close around 10 a.m. so people can support the food stands downtown for the Fall Festival. She will be open for her regular times on Sunday, Sept. 11.

Bob and Cheryl Ellerman, of Edwards, spent the day in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman Wednesday, Aug. 31. Arletta Wilson, of Rich Hill, visited in the Ellerman home Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 31. Arletta grew up in Harwood. She was the daughter of the late Cliff and June Brown.

Joey and Amie Coy and Hunter, from around the Sedalia area, spent part of the week in the home of Jerry and Karen Coy. Hunter is just a little over three month old. His grandparents, Jerry and Karen, enjoy him when he comes to visit.

Peggy O’Brien, of Grandview, spent the weekend in the home of her mother, Ruth Ijams. She visited her sister, Jeanie O’Brien. Ruth and Peggy attended the Gresham family reunion at the VFW hall at El Dorado Springs Sunday, Sept. 4

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist church Sunday, Sept. 4. Brother Jon Caudle Sr’s. sermon, “Working Together With God” was taken from 2 Corinthians 6.
