Mary Ellen Maus, who was in Moore-Few Care Center at Nevada, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, at Moore-Few Care Center. She lived in the Schell City area until she went to the nursing home. She was very active in the Schell City-Harwood United Methodist Women. She would get up each morning and go to the rummage house to get ready for the spring and fall UMW rummage sales. She was missed by everyone when she went to the nursing home. Graveside service was held Friday, Oct. 14, at the Greenlawn Cemetery at Schell City.

Madalyn Crocker and her brother from El Dorado Springs spent a few days at Branson for her mini vacation. She says she missed her customers at her restaurant but says she still had a good time.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 16. Brother Jon Caudle Sr.’s sermon “Jesus is the Truth,” taken from John 14:16. After church Tonya Hilbert was baptized at the Caudle pond a little way south of Harwood. The Harwood Baptist Church will go to the Calvary Baptist Church at Nevada for the Fifth Sunday service Sunday, Oct. 30.
