Jewell Ellerma’s sister, Betty Pearcy passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Stockton Nursing Home. She was 87. She was the former Betty (Reedy) Pearcy. The Reedys grew up in the Harwood area. Betty had a sister, Grace (Reedy) Smith of Butler. There is just two girls left out of 18 children of the Reed family. There was nine boys and nine girls. There is no date set yet for Betty’s funeral at this time. Her body is at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman and friend, Rosie Taylor, attended the community dinner at the First Baptist Church at El Dorado springs Sunday evening, Oct. 23. They hold the dinner the fourth Sunday evening of every month.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 23. Brother Jon Caudle Sr’s. sermon was taken from I Corinthians 1. The Harwood Baptist Church will go to the Calvary Baptist at Nevada Sunday evening Oct. 30 for the Fifth Sunday service.
