Jewell and Helen Ellerman and a friend, Rosie Taylor, had dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen Tuesday, June 28. Connie Locke, former pastor of the Schell City United Methodist Church, who is now pastor of the Marionville Methodist Church, joined them for dinner. Bob and Cheryl Ellerman, of Edward, spent Wednesday, June 29, in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, July 30. Brother Jon Caudle Jr.’s sermon, “The Kingdom of God is Here” was taken from Luke 10:1-20. Brother Jon Caudle Sr., who had been ill was able to teach Sunday School.

The area had received several inches of rain, which was much needed the past few days. The farmers really needed it on their crops and the people needed it in their gardens.

Several from the area attended several different fireworks displays in the area over the Fourth of July.
