News from Harwood and area

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, had her Valentine’s dinner Tuesday, Feb. 14. She ran out of steak and baked potatoes because she has such a large crowd. She would like to thank everyone that came to support her.

Rex Diehl, who lives between Harwood and Schell City, passed away Monday evening, Feb. 13. Services for him were held at Ferry Funeral Home at Nevada Thursday morning, Feb. 16, with burial at Butler.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman and a friend, Rosie Taylor, had dinner at the Senior Center fundraiser at the El Dorado Springs Senior Center Sunday, Feb. 19.

Jerry and Karen Coy attended the funeral service for Rex Diehl and then they had dinner with the family at the Diehl home Thursday, Feb. 16.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Feb. 19. Brother Jon Caudle Sr.’s sermon, “Good News Today” was taken from Luke 8:1-3
