Several from the Harwood and Schell City area attended the 50th wedding reception for Jim and Sharon Goodman at the Schell City community building Saturday, Aug. 6.

Waggoner Morerod, who grew up in the Harwood and Schell City area, passed away Monday, Aug. 1. He graduated from the Schell City High School in 1967. He was the son of the late S.B. and Toots Morerod, who lived in Harwood until they passed away. He had two sisters who still live in Harwood. Judith Caudle and husband, Jon, and Otilla Fox and husband, Bud. He had a brother, Boyd Morerod, and wife of Belem, NM. He had one sister, Gwen, and three brothers, Harold, Beenhold, and Russell, who had all passed away. He lived in Kansas City, KS, where the funeral will be held. It was Tuesday, Aug. 9, and burial will be at the National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman and friends, Nancy Raymond, and Louis Lasley, had dinner at Jenny’s Kitchen at Sheldon Thursday, Aug.4.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Aug. 7. Brother Jon Caudle Sr.’s sermon was taken from Collossians.
