Pastor Connie Locke, who was pastor at the Schell City United Methodist Church closed the church doors on June 19, which was the last sermon for Connie. She moved to her new church at Marrionville on Tuesday, June 21. She had her first sermon there on Sunday June 26.

Ruth Ijams and Jeanie O’Brien attended a family reunion on Ruth’s mother’s side of the family at Cole Camp Saturday, June 25.

Mark Statler, District Superintendent of the Southwest District of the United Churches, held a meeting at the Schell City United Methodist Church to officially close the church on Sunday afternoon, June 26. Those attending the meeting were Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Jeanie O’Brien, Ruth Ijams and Betty Souza.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, June 26. Boyd Morerod, who was here visiting from New Mexico, had the sermon. He took his sermon from Luke 7.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended the First Baptist Church at El Dorado Springs Community Supper Sunday evening, June 26. It was held at the El Dorado Elementary cafeteria because they were doing some work at their church.

The Morerod family held their yearly family reunion at the Harwood Town Hall Saturday, June 25. There were 43 there. Gwen Morerod, who passed away a few years ago, her two children, David and Cary, of California, who had not attended the reunion for several years, were there this year.
