News from Harwood and Schell City

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday morning, July 22. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon was taken from 2 Kings :8-13.

Jewell Ellerman had hip surgery at Freeman West at Joplin Monday, July 16. She came back to Cedar County Memorial Hospital at El Dorado Springs to the Swing Bed program Thursday, July 19. She is in Room 107. She enjoyed having company. She will be there until Tuesday, July 31, when she goes back for her checkup and then she hopes to go home. Her son and wife, Bob and Cheryl Ellerman, of Edwards, took her down and stayed with her until they brought her back to El Dorado. Her daughter, Helen, is with her quite a bit at the hospital now.

Several from the area attended the El Dorado Springs Picnic Thursday, July 19 through Saturday, July 21.

The area had a bad storm Thursday, July 19. They had a pretty good rain and bad wind. The farmers still need rain.
