News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will hold her Valentines’ dinner on Thursday, Feb. 14. The price will depend on what kind of meat you get. Madalyn’s Kitchen will be closed on President’s Day, Monday, Feb. 18.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended Friday Chicken Friday at the El Dorado Springs Senior Center. It is held the first Friday of every month.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Feb. 3. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon was taken from Psalms 43. The church will hold a community breakfast Feb. 10 from 8:30-9:45. Everyone is invited.

The weather in the area sure had seemed cold this past week. We had a little bit of rain or snow but not enough to amount to anything or to make the road bad. The groundhog did not see his shadow so they say we will have an early spring. I hope they are right.

The Harwood Post Office is still open for business. It is open from 1:15-3:15 so people can cone in and get stamps etc.
