Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will hold her steak, shrimp or fried chicken dinner on Sunday, June 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will include baked potatoes, salad bar and dessert bar. The price will depend on what meat you take. She will not have her regular Sunday buffet that day. Madalyn will be closed on June 29, for the Community Fourth of July celebration at the Schell City Park. It will start at 5:30 p.m. the meat and drinks will be furnished. Everyone attending is to bring a dish and their lawn chair. Fireworks will start at dark.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman and friend, Mary Tomblison, had dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen at Schell City Tuesday, June 11, for Helen’s birthday, which was that day.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, June 16. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon was taken from Matthew 10:16-42.

Chris and Madalyn Crocker, of Harwood, were dinner guests in the home of their son and family, Galvin and Mandy Crocker, and two sons of Schell City, Sunday, June 16, for Father’s day.

The Harwood Post Office is open Monday through Saturday from 1:15 to 3:15 p.m. so people can get their mail, buys stamps and mail packages. The lobby is open 24 hours a day so people can get their mail out of their post office box.

The Harwood and Schell City areas received some rain and bad thunderstorms late Saturday, June 15, and early Sunday morning.
