News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, sought of Schell City, will close at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6. She will be open at her regular time on Dec. 7. Madalyn will close at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10 so she can attend her grandson’s Christmas program at the Northeast Elementary School at Schell City. Madalyn will hold her Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday Dec. 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

I called the pastor of the Harwood Baptist Church, Mike Dunivan, and he says that there was no service at the Harwood Baptist Church on Sunday, Dec. 1 because of the weather and the Thanksgiving holiday.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman and a friend, Linda Loane, had Thanksgiving dinner at the American Legion in El Dorado Springs, put on by the Soup Kitchen.

The Harwood Post Office is open Monday thru Saturday from 1:15 to 3:13 p.m. so people can get their mail, buy stamps and mail packages. The lobby is open 24 hours so people can get their mail out of their box.

This past week, the weather had been funny. It is warm some days and cool some days. The Harwood and Schell City areas had rain on Thursday and Friday this past week.
