News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will hold her Christmas dinner on Thursday, Dec. 19. She will hold it from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The price will be the same as her Sunday buffet. Madalyn will close at 10 a.m. on Christmas Eve after she serves breakfast. She will be closed on Christmas day, Dec. 25, and reopen on Thursday, Dec. 26 and Friday, Dec. 27, at her regular time. She will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 28 and Sunday, Dec. 29. She will be open at her regular time on Monday, De. 30.

Church service was held a the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Dec. 8. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon was taken from Isaiah 9:1-7.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman had dinner at the Senior Center in El Dorado Springs for Fried Chicken Friday, Friday, Dec. 6. It is held the first Friday of every month. It is sponsored by a business or organization every month.

The Harwood Post Office is open Monday thru Saturday 1:15-3:15 p.m. so people can get their mail, buy stamps and mail packages. The lobby is open 24 hours a day for people to get their mail out of their box.

The weather in the Harwood and Schell City areas had been fairly good this past week. It had been good for December.
