News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, says that she will be open for the rest of January unless the weather is bad. Madalyn will hold her Valentine’s dinner on Friday, Feb. 14, from 5-8 p.m.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Jan. 26. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon was taken from Ephesians 6:11-18.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended the diner at the Grace United Methodist Church Sunday evening, Jan. 26. They had a guest speaker, Don and Mary Martin, and Russell Luster. They had a very good sermon and program. They are from the soup kitchen which is in the old Presbyterian Church in El Dorado Springs.

The weather in the Harwood and Schell City areas had been cold and they had a little bit of snow but not as much as some places because Walker and Schell City Schools and other Schools were closed because of the bad weather on Friday, Jan. 24.
