News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, received word that nobody was to sit down and eat inside of the restaurant starting Monday night, March 23, at 12:01 a.m. to Monday, April 6 at 12:01 am. You can order food and she will hand it out to you. To order, you can call her at 417/296-0061 or 417/432-3434. She will not be open on Sunday to serve meals. She will be closed on Wednesdays, as that is her day off. She will be closed on Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12 for the Easter holiday.

There was no church service at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, March 22, because of the coronavirus.

Hunter Coy of Calhoun, spent spring break with his grandparents, Jerry and Karen, of Harwood. He is the son of Joey and Amiee Coy of Calhoun. Joey coy spent Thursday, March 19 through Saturday, March 12. Hunter went home with his dad on Saturday.

The Harwood Post office is open Monday through Saturday from 1:15 to 3:15 p.m. so people can get their mail, buy stamps and mail packages. The lobby is open 24 hours a day so people can get their mail out of their box.
