Bob and Cheryl Ellerman of Edwards spent Thursday, May 21, in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman. They all went to Brush Creek Cemetery near Black Jack, Mt. Vernon, near Walker and the City Cemetery in El Dorado Springs. They all ate dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City. They visited some of the Stark family, who were eating at Madalyn’s also. The Stark family grew up in the Harwood area.

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will still be closed on Sundays until further notice because she can not serve her buffet and she will close at 10:30 p.m on Saturdays. She will be open the rest of the time at her regular time except for Wednesdays when she is closed anyway. She will be closed on June 5.

Jerry and Karen Coy of Harwood attended a birthday dinner for their grandson, Hunter Coy’s fourth birthday on Sunday, May 17. His birthday was on Monday, May 18. He is the son of Joey and Aimee Coy and sister, Ivy of Calhoun. Some other relations attended also.

The Harwood Post Office is open Monday through Saturday from 1:15 to 3:15 so people can get their mail, buy stamps and mail packages. The lobby is open 24 hours a day so people can get their mail out of their box.
