News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, is still closed on Sundays because she still can not serve her buffet. She closes at 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays. She is open on Monday, Tuesday Thursday and Friday at her regular time. Madalyn says that she had plans to have her Forth of July celebration on June 20, at the Schell City Park but she had put if off until July 25. I will put more in about it later.

Joey, Aimee, Hunter and Ivy Coy of Calhoun, visited in the home of his parents, Jerry and Karen Coy, of Harwood last Saturday, June 6.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman and friend, Mary Tomblinson, and daughter had dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen Thursday, June 11, for Helen’s birthday which was that day.

The Harwood Post Office is open Monday through Saturday from 1:15 to 3:15 p.m. so people can get their mail, buy stamps and mail packages. The lobby is open 24 hours a day so people can get their mail out of their box.

The weather had been hot this past week and there had been hard wind and people had been a lot of limbs down and trees uprooted from the wind.
