News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, is still closed on Sundays as they Health Department has not given her the say to open her buffet. She closes at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and is still open at her regular time the rest of the week.

Jim Carrier of Harwood was the Grand Marshal at the Schell City Fall Festival Friday, Sept. 11 and Saturday, Sept. 12. There was a good crowd.

The Harwood Post Office is open Monday through Saturday from 1:15-3:15 p.m. so people can get their mail, buy stamps and mail packages. The lobby is open 24 hours a day so people can get their mail out of their box.

The weather in the area had been hot for the first part of the week and it has turned cool for the week and the area had some much needed rain.
