Bob and Cheryl Ellerman of Edwards, and Jesse and Amy Grant of Richards, spent Friday, Dec. 13, in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman for an early Christmas. Then, on Sunday, Dec. 15, Bob and Cheryl and Mike and Kelly Ellerman of Carl Junction, spent Sunday in the home of Hewell and Helen Ellerman for an early Christmas.

Joe and Aimee Coy and Hunter of Calhoun, announced the birth of their daughter and sister on Friday, Dec. 20, 2019. Ivy Geraldine Coy weighed 6 lbs. 11 oz. Grandparents are Jerry and Karen Coy of Harwood and Ron and Linda Wiese

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Dec. 22. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon was taken from Luke 2:1-20. There was no church service at the Harwood Baptist Church on Dec. 8 because of the weather.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman and a friend, Marry Tomblinson, and son, Casey, had dinner at Madelyn’s Kitchen in Schell City for Madalyn’s Christmas dinner on Thursday, Dec. 19. She had a very large crowd for it.

The Harwood Post Office is open Monday thru Saturday from 1:15 to 3:15 so people can get their mail, buy stamps, mail packages, etc. The lobby is open 24 hours a day so people can get their mail from their box.

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will close at 10 a.m. on New Year’s Eve after she serves breakfast. She will be closed on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, and then she will be open the rest of the week.

Karen Coy and grandson, Hunter Coy, visited Jewell and Helen Ellerman for a while on Saturday morning, Dec. 21.

The weather had been bad this past week. The Harwood and Schell City areas had snow and ice. The Schools were closed for a day or two before they closed for the holidays.
