Bob and Cheryl Ellerman, of Edward, visited in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman Thursday, May 25. They decorated graves at the Mount Vernon Cemetery near Walker, Brush Creek at Birdsong and the El Dorado Springs City Cemetery. They ate dinner at the El Dorado Springs Senior Center.

Connie Locke visited her dad, Ben Locke, at Nevada this past week at different times.

Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman and Betty Souza had dinner at Pizza Hut at El Dorado Springs after church Sunday, May 28.

There will be a going away dinner for Pastor Connie Locke, who is pastor at the Schell City United Methodist Church, Sunday, June 12 at the Schell City Community building around 12:30 p.m. with everyone invited to attend. The event will be furnished with everyone bringing a dish. The Schell City United Methodist Church is closing their doors June 19 being the last sermon. Pastor Locke will go to the Marionville United Methodist Church. Pastor Locke will be missed in the community as she did a lot for the community.

Peggy O’Brien, of Grandview, spent the weekend in the home of her mother, Ruth Ijams, and visited her sister, Jeanie O’Brien. It was Ruth’s 6th class reunion. Ruth said there are two other people left in her class that are still alive Winkie Smith and John Hoagland, both of Schell City.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, May 29. Brother Jon Caudle Jr.’s sermon was taken from Luke 7.

Church service was held at the Schell City United Methodist Sunday, May 29. Pastor Connie Locke’s sermon, “Testimonies” was taken from Luke 7:1-10. Sunday School was held before church. Jeanie O’Brien led the lesson, “Joyous Faith” taken from Luke 19:1-10.
