Morning message at Rockville United Methodist Church was by Larry Sorrells titled  “A Fan or a Follower.”  You are welcome to join us for worship Sunday 9 a.m., Bible study Tuesday at 9 a.m.

Mt. Zion Bible study was held in Tom and Beverly Pelkey home Tuesdays at 7 p.m. with 14 in attendance; there’s always room for one more.

The Rockville Methodist Church ladies enjoyed the annual fall brunch as guests of the Rich Hill Methodist Church ladies in Rich Hill Tuesday, Sept. 17. They joined other area Methodist Church lady’s for the great  brunch and the interesting programs on preserving wild flowers by Kay Wetter and Bonnie Teel a local prairie expert talked about various flower on her prairie.

The Mt. Zion Club met Sept 18, with Kathleen Dyer at Appleton City Manor in Appleton city. Ten ladies enjoyed the day having lunch, devotion by Wilma Williams What’s in your cup? Business was conducted then we played bingo and visited and enjoyed the day. Next meeting will be Oct 16.

Time to finish your quilt project to enter in the Rockville Methodist Church Quilt show Oct 19,. Would love to have you enter your quilt and visit our Country Store lots of new exciting stuff!.

We had rain in the Mt. Zion area, hope it doesn’t flood again. Lots of corn harvested. Can’t mow the lawn for a few days. The fall gardens are looking nice. My fall lettuce is growing.

Dixie Peterson still a patient at the Elliot Memorial Hospital in Appleton City. Hoping to coming home soon.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm not much going on, Belle and Robin are preparing for fall. Sunday, Belle didn’t want to come out of her house, didn’t want another bad hair day she sure doesn’t like to get wet.

Ron Thompson celebrated his birthday with John and Julia Snethen enjoying dinner.
