Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church by Pastor Larry Sorrells was “What Makes Heaven Happy? “ taken from Luke 15:1-10. You are always welcome at Rockville United Methodist Church-Sunday worship 9 a.m., Tuesday Bible study 9 a.m. and quilting Thursdays 1-5 p.m.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home Tuesday’ at 7 p.m. We welcome you to join us. Eleven were in attendance.

Mt. Zion Club will meet Sept 18, at Appleton City Manor at 11 a.m. Call Marge at 598-4240 for information.

Mt. Zion area enjoyed a small shower. The humming birds have all about left. Neighbors are still mowing grass and harvesting crops. Lots of pretty yellow flowers along the road.

Big news in Rockville, main road into town is smooth and their are no pot holes in front of the church,  thanks to those responsible.

We wish Dixie Peterson a speedy recovery. She is a patient in the Elliott Memorial Hospital in Appleton City. Among those visiting her have been Charlene and Donnie Crayton, Mitchel Crawford, Marge Zink, Jeri Lyn and Cole, Shawn Casey, Kent Crawford and Beth, Howard always there for dinner.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, Belle had a bad hair day when she decided to dig a hole and spent the night under the stars instead of in her house. It rained and Belle got wet, and Belle doesn’t like to get wet. She got no sympathy from Robin. Bell understands that Robin is only human.

Beverly Pelkey, Marge Zink and Sheri Suster attended the Grand River Homemakers 2019 Silent Auction and luncheon in garden City. as guest of Donna Harris.

Beverly Pelkey and Grace Bartz attended the DAR meeting in Peculiar Monday Sept. 9.
