Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church by Pastor Nick Van Dam was entitled “Being Backwards” taken from l Corinthians 1:18-31; Aaron Siegismund, son of Ethan and Michelle Siegismund, was Baptized.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study held in the home of Tom and Beverly Pelkey each Tuesday at 7 p.m. to study the bible with eight in attendance.

Our sympathy to the family of Pam Casteel, funeral services were held Saturday; Pam will be greatly missed by her quilt buddies, friends and family.

We wish Mark Crayton a speedy recovery from a recent surgery.

Recent visitors in the Howard and Dixie Peterson home were Kent Crawford and Beth. Dixie was able to attend church Sunday morning, which she was very thankful for.

Tom Pelkey has been cutting wood, keeping busy. Beverly has been working on a quilt, staying close to the fire.

The Rockville Hand Quilters enjoyed all-day quilting Thursday, at noon they enjoyed a delicious carry-in lunch. We put in another beautiful quilt; I do believe it is the largest quilt we have done in a long time.

John and Julia Snethen had a quite week with Julia going to the doctor on Tuesday afternoon, and producing good news. Sunday they went to Pleasant Hill for practice for District #12, stopping in Harrisonville at Applebee’s for dinner with Maureen Wallace, Margie Cooper, Jayne Taylor and Mary Lee Sycamore all from Clinton.
