Missouri Republican governor, Mike Parson officially filed to run for re-election as governor in 2020. Governor Parson’s commitment to hard work and focus on key issues, like jobs, education, workforce development and infrastructure – have all led to historic low-unemployment, 40,000 new jobs, lower taxes, and a booming Missouri economy.

“We will continue to work hard for the people of Missouri, in order to make sure everyone has the chance to pursue the American dream,” Governor Parson said. “In the next four years we will continue building upon our successes that make a positive difference for Missourians, including workforce development and infrastructure, and that is why I intend to run for re-election in 2020.”

More jobs, better pay, pro-growth policies, keeping taxes low, rebuilding our infrastructure, workforce development, and improving education have marked Governor Parson’s tenure in office. Since being sworn in on June 1, 2018, Governor Parson has:

· Ushered in new pro-jobs pro-growth policies for Missouri, resulting in 40,000 new jobs, with companies like Bunge, Bayer, Briggs & Stratton, CVS, Nucor Steel, Google and others investing in Missouri and creating new opportunities for Missouri workers;

· Signed an income tax cut allowing Missourians to keep more of their hard-earned money;

· Proposed a bold plan to invest $1 billion into new infrastructure, all without a tax increase to the people of Missouri;

· Ended the pointless “border war” with Kansas – which had cost Missouri over $325 million dollars; and

· Shrank the size of the government in Jefferson City, reorganizing one fourth of the entire executive branch and eliminated nearly 500 bureaucrats’ positions that were wasting taxpayer dollars.

“It’s an honor and privilege to serve as the 57th governor of our great state,” Governor Parson said, “Throughout my entire life I’ve never been afraid of hard work and we are at a critical moment in our state and country – it’s up to us to defend the American dream.”

Gov. Parson’s began his commitment to defending the American dream serving six years in the Army as a member of the military police. He later returned to Missouri, serving 22-years in law enforcement, and was elected sheriff of Polk County for twelve years. Gov. Parson has also served his community as state representative and state senator. In 2016, Missourians elected him to serve as Missouri’s lieutenant governor. He is a third-generation farmer and continues to own and operate a cow-calf operation near his hometown of Bolivar.

The governor has received the following endorsements in support of his campaign: President Donald J. Trump, all of Missouri’s leading agriculture organizations, Missouri Right to Life PAC, Missouri Chamber of Commerce and over 125 elected Republicans.
