Citizens of the 125th District,

The first year of my two year term came to close today at 6pm.   I don’t know where to start on all that has happened and all that I have learned as a first year legislature!  I do know that I have gained so much knowledge on the process and procedures of how the state governments runs and what it takes to get a piece of legislation from the beginning of the process when it is filed, to the end when it will truly become law!

The republican caucus accomplished quite a few of its goals this year, but still have more work to do for the people of Missouri.  I will put out in a Capitol report next week on some of the key legislation that we got across the finish line this year.

Doing constituent work and meeting with people from the district who have come to the Capitol is by far some of the most rewarding!   This week Weaubleau schools 8th grade class came to the Capitol for their field trip and to tour and learn about the government process and see our beautiful Capitol.   Having those kids come is a delight and honor as I feel it is such an important thing to introduce our young kids to state government and the political process.

Again, it has been my honor and privilege to serve as your state representative from the 125th district.  I will now be back around the district and if there is ever a need or you have a question that I can help you with, please don’t hesitate to call.  You can always call the capitol, as my L.A. still handles problems and takes calls in the office in Jefferson City, Monday – Thursday, or you can reach me at 660-351-2012 on my cell phone.  Again, thanks for your trust and hope to see you soon at some parade, hog roast, fund raiser or community get together!

State Representative Jim Kalberloh
