Christopher Ryan Morton, a Clinton police officer who was killed in the line of duty on March 6, 2018, was honored at the National Law Enforcement Memorial in D.C. His name was added to the memorial, commemorating the lives of all police officers who have given the ultimate sacrifice throughout American history. Young Ryan was killed seven months after another Clinton police officer, Gary Michael. In attendance at the ceremony honoring Ryan were several other officers from the Clinton Police Department.
