The Missouri Senate has passed our own version of the Fiscal Year 2024 state operating budget and will go through conference committees with the House to work out the differences. By law, the budget has to be completed by 6 p.m. on Friday, May 5.
This week, we also passed House Joint Resolution 43 which would let Missouri voters decide if we should change some of the rules governing initiative petitions in our state By modifying provisions for Constitutional Amendments, we can ensure that initiatives with substantial public support are approved.
