The Missouri Legislature has completed the first month of the 2026 regular legislative session. As usual, the first four weeks of session include mainly committee hearings. A couple of my proposals saw time in committee this week. Senate Bill 836 would modify provisions relating to elections by making technical changes that clarify the process. Senate Bill 931 will allow the Department of Revenue to mail certain tax documents by first class mail instead of certified mail. This will save the state over $2 million annually. I look forward to working with my colleagues on both of these measures as session continues.
