Editor:

Easter is almost here! When we make plans for families to get together to celebrate and when we make plans to worship God and give thanks to Christ for dying on a cross for us, for raising from the grave in three days to be our Savior; all because He love us!!

This year will be different. Because of the coronavirus, extended families will be staying apart in their own homes and we won’t be assembling together to worship God. Don’t let this keep us from worshiping. Wherever we are sheltering in to help stamp out this virus, we can draw nearer to God and worship Him in spirit and in truth.

In case you haven’t gotten your scripture together to read it for yourself, I have made a list to help: The arrest, trial, death and resurrection of Christ Jesus. You can read the greatest story every told, about the greatest gift ever given, by the only perfect sacrifice for our sins. All in the Book that God has preserved for our knowledge. Matthew Chapters 26-28, Mark chapters 14-16, Luke chapters 22-24, john chapters 18-20. In the book of Act, written by Luke – Acts 1: Christ promises to send the Holy Spirit to help His apostles – Christ returns to the Father in Heaven. Acts 2:1-47 reads about the giving/receiving of the Holy Spirit to help Christ’s apostles – The first gospel sermon preached (death, burial and resurrection) – Christ’s church began and about 3,000 souls were added to his Church that day.

While you have started reading, keep going. He is coming back; Acts 1:9-11 and Rev. 22:7-12 and 20.

Don’t let coronavirus drag us down physically or Spiritually. Shelter in and grow where you are planted!

Thankful to live in ElDo,

Earline Allison
