2016 search for Little Mr. and Miss Santa

G.F.W.C. Generation III is again sponsoring the Little Mr. and Miss Santa contest open for kindergarteners and first graders only.

The club is now accepting candidates. Please submit two photos with the child’s name, grade, parents, address and contact number on the backside of the photo. Photos must be received by Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at Frier and Frier Family Vision Center, 701 E. Hospital Road in El Dorado Springs. Photos will not be returned.

Monday Nov. 14 – voting boxes will be placed at Woods Supermarket and Evans Drug Store in El Dorado Springs. These containers at these locations are the only ones receiving eligible votes. Winners are chosen by a Penny-A-Vote. Green and silver are also welcome. Voting will close on the evening of Thursday, Dec. 1.

Monday, Nov, 21 – The Lighting Ceremony begins at 5 p.m. in the City Park. All contestants will be introduced and a group picture taken for the newspaper. Please meet on the west side of the bandstand. The Little Mr. and Miss Santa introduction will follow the announcement of Miss Merry Christmas.

Saturday, Dec. 3 – All contestants will receive gifts and the winners will be announced at the Community Center at 11 a.m. The Christmas Parade will follow at 1 p.m. All contestants are requested to ride on the Generation III float in the Parade. All float participants should dress warmly and meet at 12:30 p.m. at the Department of Conservation on South Main. Please pick up your child immediately following the parade on East Broadway across from the Methodist Church (behind the Sun newspaper building)
