“The Missouri Department of Conservation will once again host Eagle Days at the Schell City Community Center.  The event is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 3, with six indoor programs running from 9-3.

The indoor program will be presented by the staff at the Dickerson Park Zoo features Phoenix, the hand-held Bald Eagle that was reared on Schell-Osage, and Aquila, a Golden Eagle.

After the indoor program, attendees will be directed to the Schell-Osage Conservation Area where Bald Eagles can be seen in their own habitat.  Spotting scopes will be set up on the area to observe the eagles and one of the five nests on the area.

This Eagle Day will mark the 40th anniversary of the first Eagle Day held on Schell-Osage.  For more information, call the El Dorado Springs MDC office at 876-5226.”
