The Cedar County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary had a successful fundraiser with their Onkin’ Spud lunch in October. About 350 meals were served. The Auxiliary members wish to thank the community for helping to support our local hospital. Especially appreciated were the businesses that ordered numerous lunches for their workers. The fundraiser makes it possible for the Auxiliary to donate 100% of the profits toward items needed by the various departments of the hospital. This year the Auxiliary was able to buy items to help the nurses and maintenance departments, totaling $6,500.

On Dec. 1-5, the hospital gift shop will hold an open house. Hot cocoa and cookies will be served and a $10 coupon will be awarded to one visitor to use at the gift shop. All items at the gift shop will be 10% off that week, with the exception of candy, cards, books and consignment items. There are items that will make a perfect gift for your special someone. Drop in to see what’s available.
