A “Fruit Tree Grafting Workshop” will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, April 11 at Missouri State University’s Darr Agriculture Center, 2401 S. Kansas Expressway, Springfield.

Attendees will work one-on-one with a MSU employee or a University of Missouri Extension specialist while learning to graft.

Proper ‘whip and tongue’ grafting technique will be demonstrated.  M7 semi-standard apple rootstock will be available. Apple scion wood of Red Delicious, Ozark Gold, Gala, Arkansas Black, Enterprise and Gold Rush will be available.

Each participant will take home two grafted trees.
