A soybean scouting workshos will be held from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. on July 28 at the Kevin Bell farm located northwest of Walker. Come and learn to identify crop stages and how that can affect pesticide applications, new insects, diseases, resistant weeds and new strategies for soybean cyst nematodes.

To get to Bell’s farm, go seven miles north off of Hwy. 54 on C Hwy. At the curve, take Halley Road briefly before going 1⁄2 mile south on 2400 Road. Watch for signs.

Producers are encouraged to bring samples to be identified. Please call 417/448-2560 by noon July 27 to register. These workshops will be conducted by Pat Miller, University of Missouri Extension Agronomy Specialist. They may be postponed in case of rain. For more information, call Pat Miller at 417-448-2560 or e-mail her at millerpd@missouri.edu.
