Register by Oct. 3 for nutrition workshop

The Cedar County MU Extension Center will have a Beef Cattle Nutrition and Ration Balancing Workshop on Oct. 4 in the Cedar County Library at 717 East St., Stockton.  The class will begin at 6:30 p. m. and the speakers will be Patrick Davis, Cedar County MU Extension Regional Livestock Specialist, and Andy McCorkill, Dallas County MU Extension Regional Livestock Specialist.

Topics covered will consist of:

• Understanding a Hay Test

• Incorporation of hay test into balancing a winter ration for cows and calves

Cost of the workshop is $10 per person and registration along with payment for the class is due to the Cedar County MU Extension Center (113 South Street, Stockton, Mo. 65785) by Oct. 3.
