Remember our Veterans Book

I’m trying to honor the veterans that have served as well as help them by giving the proceeds to the Veteran’s Home.

I have compiled a new book, Remember our Veterans with stories of about 80 Vernon County, several from Cedar County and surrounding area veterans. It is now going on Pre-sale for $30. It will be $35 after Veterans Day 2016, or $40 if you want it mailed. Another 300 or so names of veterans and their military service have been pulled from the obituary file of the Nevada Mail and included in the book. It will be hard back covered and have an every name index. The book will be available at the Veterans Day Parade in Nevada Nov. 11. The proceeds from the sales will go to the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon.
