Due to COVID-19, on March 16, the El Dorado Springs Senior Center was temporarily forced to close to the public.

In order to maintain our Home Delivered Meal (HDM) program to the homebound, Monday through Friday, our small staff of four, plus four volunteer drivers, have continued to tirelessly work together in an effort to get those much needed, nutritious meals into the hands of our older adults.

On a regular and steady basis, the senior citizens of El Dorado Springs have been contacting the Senior Center, asking to be added to our Home Delivered Meal program. What began as 450 meals per week continues to grow, and we are determined to not let down one senior who is requesting a meal.

Regrettably, under existing circumstances, it is not possible for us to have the fundraisers we had worked on, planned and scheduled this spring and summer. When our doors closed to the public on March 16, all fundraising and donations came to a screeching halt, and we have no idea when those badly needed funds will start to arrive again. Now, more than ever before, the Center truly needs the assistance of our town.

Please consider supporting the Center, especially during this time, when our seniors, particularly our homebound, are most vulnerable. Your donation will enable us to continue to provide meals to our grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles and neighbors…. our community of seniors.

Your tax deductible donation of $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can give, is needed and deeply appreciated. Thank you for your continued support. Please make check payable to El Dorado Springs Senior Center.

Sincerely,

Toni M. Sabol

Center Coordinator
