Registration is open for the fifth annual Matt’s Run, a benefit 5K and one-mile fun run honoring the memory of Cedar County sheriff’s deputy Matt Chism, who made the ultimate sacrifice while in the line of duty Nov. 2, 2014.
Races start at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 27, at the east end of Stockton Dam. Sign up online at runsignup.com/Race/Mo/Stockton/Matt’sRunStockton, or in person at 7:30 a.m. the day of the run.
Entry fee is $25 for the 5K or $20 for the fun run and includes a T-shirt. Extra T-shirts can be ordered for $10.
Cash prizes will be awarded to winners in three age groups, 30 and older ($200), 15-29 ($100) and 14 and younger ($50). Door prizes, music, food and drinks also will be available.
