Wendell and Ernestine Burchett – 60 Years of Wedded Bliss

(and Occasional Selective Hearing)

On Jan. 7, 1966, at the preacher’s house in Dardanelle, AR, Ernestine (Garrison) and Wendell Burchett said, “I do.” These words became the foundation for 60 years, 5 children, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren (and another on the way)! Their secret to a long marriage? Sacrificial love and yielding to a shared commitment to one another. We’re sure with the help of the good Lord, a good sense of humor, a lot of love, and the occasional “Yes, dear” went a long way.

Over the past six decades, they have shared a life filled with faith, love, family, hard work and countless memories. They are the proud parents of Donnie (Tammy) Burchett, Schell City, MO, Karen (Chris) Heiserman, Appleton City, MO, and Jason (April) Burchett, El Dorado Springs, MO.

While no formal celebration is planned, please join us in congratulating Ernestine and Wendell Burchett on their 60th wedding anniversary, a milestone that proves true love (and maybe a little patience and a lot of good cooking) can stand the test of time.
