Carl Wesley Webb, 80, of El Dorado Springs, passed away Jan. 9, 2021, at his home. He was born Aug. 17, 1940, to Carlas Christopher and Opal Marie (Price) Webb in Eureka Springs, AR. Carl grew up in Eureka, where he attended school and church. Carl left behind a testimony of a heart-felt, know-so salvation. God convicted him at a Brush Arbor meeting at Grassy Knob School House. He went to the altar, prayed and the Lord took the conviction away and gave him peace.

Carl moved to El Dorado Springs shortly after finishing school. He soon met Veda Mae Barger, to whom he was married for 46 years. From this union, the Lord blessed them with two children. Together, they attended Hazel Dell Missionary Baptist Church, where the Lord led him to join the church and be baptized. Years later, he was ordained as a deacon. Carl loved his church and was steadfast in his faith. Carl was a very loving, caring, kind husband, dad, Pappy and friend.

Carl worked at Witt Printing Co. for 32 years. After leaving the company in 1992, he started his dream woodshop and worked until illness stopped him. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking. He especially loved watching his granddaughters grow up. He would light up when his granddaughters walked into the room. He loved hearing their stories and teaching them the ways of orneriness.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife (Veda Mae); son (Carl Wayne); brothers (Don and Norman), and parents; (Carlas and Opal). He is survived by daughter, Brenda Ford, and husband, (DJ) of Milo; granddaughters, Emily Mae and Amy Sue, of Milo; companion, Betty Beason, of El Dorado Springs; and many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Services for Carl Webb were Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Hazel Dell Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Ralph Benham officiating. Interment followed at Hazel Dell Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to Hazel Dell Cemetery fund and left at the funeral home.
