Carolyn Lee (Curp) Pittman. 77. was born July 10, 1942. Carolyn passed away in her home, with her family, Sunday Dec. 29. 2019. 

She married her life partner. Carl Pittman, March 28 1959. 

Carolyn was self-employed with her husband, lifelong owners in the Residential Moving industry. 

Carolyn had four children, and was known for temporarily taking in other children who needed a home or a hand up.  

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband on July 11, 2000; her grandson, John Marrs III, on Dec. 1, 2016; parents, Cecil Curp and Geraldine (Geri) Hughes; and step-father Harry Hughes and Pat Curp.   

Carolyn is survived by her children, Cheryl Pittman McIntosh, and husband, Jim; Carla Marrs,; Christina Cunningham and husband, Steve; Carl Pittman Jr.  and wife, Jennifer; honorary daughter, Mary K. Meyer; grandchildren – Scott McGroarty, Carl Pittman III, Caitlin Pittman, and Crystal Cunningham; great-grandchildren –  Kaylee McGroarty, Carson McGroarty, and Corbin Cunningham; sisters, Marilyn (Sue) Pittman and Kathy Warrick; and brother, Jack Brown.  

Carolyn fought a long hard battle with heart disease and other health complications. Carolyn loved to attend gatherings to hear her family play music. Carolyn loved the solitude and quiet of her country home, and her Aunt Evelyn and Uncle Bob who wanted it for her. Carolyn loved fishing with her family. Carolyn loved her family and friends, getting together to visit or play cards, and travel.  Carolyn loved reminiscing with her sister-in-laws and confidants, Marge Pittman-Bryant and Pam Matthews.  

We think Mom loved that her children were devoted to her, and helped her through many trials and saw to her care. 

We Love You Something Fierce Mom and we will miss you terribly. Services were held Friday, Jan. 3, in Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs, with Pastors Carl and Sharon Butler officiating. Soloists Jamie Malone and Pastor Carl Butler sang “Look For Me,” “The Lighthouse,” “In The Presence of Jehovah,” “We May Fly Away Tonight” and “Save A Place For Me”

Casketbearers were Carl Pittman Jr., Carl Pittman III, Scott McGroarty, Steve Cunningham, Bruce McKinzie and Tanner Rozell.

Interment was in Taberville Cemetery under direction of Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs. www.sheldongoodrich.com.
