Dennis Lee Henry

Dennis Lee Henry, 64, of El Dorado Springs, passed away on Oct. 24, 2018, at his home after a battle with cancer. Dennis was born on Aug. 16, 1954, in Nevada to Robert Lee Henry and Vinnie (Stebbins) Lankford.

He graduated from El Dorado Springs High School then served in the U.S. Navy from 1972 to 1979.

He was preceded in death by his father and both sets of grandparents.

Dennis is survived by his mother, Vinnie (Stebbins) Lankford, of Clinton,; brother, Tom Henry, of Lee’s Summit; sisters – Patty (Dave) Turner of Pittsburg, MO, Janet Romesburg of Wheatland, and Pam Roby of El Dorado Springs; uncles – Bill Henry of California and Al Stebbins (Ann) of El Dorado Springs; aunts  – Betty Thomas of El Dorado Springs, Cathy Geraci of California and Elaine (Vince) Lazo of California; step-son – Caleb (Lisa) Julian of Nevada; step-daughter – Hayley Julian of El Dorado Springs; grandson, Uriyah Julian of Nevada; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Dennis was a long time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in El Dorado Springs,.

A celebration of life will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Eagles Lodge, El Dorado Springs with Rev. Brent Bland officiating.

Music will be “Free Bird” by Lynyrd Skynyrd, “Amazing Grace” by Elvis Presley, “Family Tradition” by Hank Williams Jr. and “Drink A Beer” by Luke Bryan. Military honors by the U.S. Navy.
