Donna Jane (Remer) Stewart, 83, passed away peacefully in the morning of Aug. 16, 2016. She was born May 7, 1933, in Sharp, KS, daughter of Donald and Millie (Mattox) Remer.
She grew up in El Dorado Springs and attended El Dorado Springs High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jack Remer; and one nephew, Adam Remer. She is survived by one sister, Gretchen Demby; nephews – Jason Remer, Aaron Remer, Ron Gay and Jeff Gay; niece, Ora Jane Remer; and many grandnephews and grandnieces.
She spent 35 years in Alaska, working as a salesperson. She retired to the Kansas City area in 1995 to be near her family.
She loved her cats, Alaska and camping. Donna will be missed by all of her family and friends.
She generously chose to donate her body to the Kansas City University of Medicine to further medical research.
