Doris E. (Coleman) Ellis, 78, El Dorado Springs, passed away at Community Springs Healthcare on Monday, Dec. 12, 2016. Doris was born Nov. 2, 1938, in St. Clair County, the daughter of Ben Coleman and Zoe (Carriker) Coleman.

Pastor James Coleman led her to the Lord while praying with her at Community Springs Healthcare. She loved the Lord and was always telling others what God had done for her. She also loved deer hunting, fishing and traveling.

Preceding Doris in death were her husband, Wayne; her parents; one brother, Paul Coleman; one daughter, Vicky (White) Livengood; and one son, Ricky D. White.

Survivors include three brothers – Dean Coleman and wife, Gladys, Bennie Coleman and James Coleman and wife, Joyce – all of El Dorado Springs; one sister, Donnie (Coleman) Sawyer, and husband, Junior, El Dorado Springs; a daughter-in-law, Vickie Lou White; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, in Bland-Hackleman Chapel with Rev. James Coleman officiating. Music selections will be “Amazing Grace” and “Shall We Gather at the River.” Inurnment will be in Love Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Love Cemetery and left at the funeral home.
