Edward S. Rose, 83, of El Dorado Springs passed away on April 15, 2017, following a short illness.

He was born in Covington, KY, to Charles and Hazel (Wilson) Rose on Aug. 10, 1933.

In 1951 he joined the Air Force and served as a Radar & Communication Technician. He retired after 20 years. After retirement he went to work for Cablevision in Mulvane, KS.

Ed enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and most of all a good Canadian Mist/Coke and golf. He was involved with many organizations including Eagles Post 4279, American Legion Post 136, Veterans of Foreign Wars 7253, Scottish Rite of Freemans and Midian Shriners. He also made donations to various charities.

Preceding him in death were his parents and sister Edith Lipps.

He is survived by three children – James (Mary) Rose, Kay (Terry Wood) Fannin and Charles Rose – all in Michigan as well as five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service was held Sunday, April 23, at Eagles Post #4279, El Dorado Springs, with at tribute by the Fraternal Order of Eagles

Final disposition was cremation under direction of Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs,www.sheldonfh.com.
