Francis Eugene “Gene” Moore

Francis Eugene “Gene” Moore was born Dec. 14, 1955, to Jesse L. and Francis Moore in El Dorado Springs.

Gene loved gardening, woodworking, working with small engines as well as playing the harmonica and guitar.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse L. Moore and mother, Francis Moore.

He is survived by one son, Derick Moore; four brothers, Clarence Moore and wife, Pamela, Howard Moore and wife, Janice, David Moore and William Moore; three sisters, Rosemary Mavrick and husband, Dan, Della Murdock and husband, Alquippa Penn, Helen Donaldson and husband, Mike; step-sister, Linda Brown as well as many nieces and nephews.

Music was “Go Rest High On That Mountain,” “Amazing Grace” and “Farther Along.”

Casket bearers: David Murdock Jr, Gary Moore, Eddie Penn, Troy Moore, Caleb Gilpin and Kenny Potter.

Services were Sunday, Aug. 29 at Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs with Pastor Christopher Moore officiating. Interment was at Pleasant Springs Cemetery, El Dorado Springs.
