George Robert Crawford

George Robert Crawford, 77, San Antonio, TX, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024.

George was born May 19, 1946 to Ralph and Theo Crawford of El Dorado Springs.  After George graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1964, he went on to study Business/Marketing at Pittsburg State University in Kansas. After graduating he started his career in the oil and gas industry which he worked in for 47 years before retiring in 2016.

In 1982, George met Carol Vander Hamm in Houston, TX, and married in 1984. George and Carol went on to have two children, Michelle and Brett.

George had a love for sports. His father, Ralph, taught George to bowl at the age of eight and they played in leagues together and enjoyed competing in tournaments. George played basketball in high school and both basketball and tennis in college. After college he played intramural softball and loved golf on the weekends with friends. George also had a love for German Shepherd dogs, which he raised and showed for many years.

George is survived by his wife, Carol Crawford; daughter, Michelle Palsson, and her husband, Evan and grandson, Nolan; son, Brett Crawford, and his wife, Kaci, and grandson, Everitt, and sister, Jeanette Crawford Mooney.
