Goldia L. Schulte, 60, died unexpectedly July 1, 2022, at a Downers Grove, IL hospital. She was born Nov. 13, 1961, in Bartlesville, OK, the daughter to James Gray and Virginia Davis.
Goldia graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1980. She entered the healthcare profession by obtaining her EMT license, and then her Paramedic license. She spent 14 years with St. John’s Hospital in the Cedar County District. Here she made so many life-long friends and helped her surrounding communities. She married Victor Schulte in 1998 and they have been happily married ever since. Gold spent the last 19 years taking care of close relatives that need in-home help, and countless animals that needed a forever home. In her free time, she enjoyed throwing a line in the water, bowling with her friends and spending time with her family.
In addition to her grandparents, she was predeceased in death by her father, James Gray; stepfather, Gerald (Jerry) Davis.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, Victor Schulte, is her son, Gregory Austin with wife, Stephanie, and three kids, Sakara, Hayden and Keana; son, Jarred Austin, with his son, Colton Austin, and Victor’s daughter, Megan Parks; mother, Virginia Davis; sister, Helen (Dew) Davis; brothers, John and Christopher Davis; nieces, Jordan Dozler and husband, Brennan, and their three kids Brennali, Rylynn and Teegan; niece, Destany Miller, and niece, Kira Williams, with her fiancé, Tyler, and their daughter, Esme.
A service of remembrance and celebration of her life was held at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs July 8.
