Helen Marie Woody, 84, was born Sept. 26, 1931, in Waterford , CA, to Fred Terry and Mary (Walls) Bishop. She passed away Aug. 25, 2016, in the Moore-Few Care Center, Nevada.
On June 6, 1949, Helen was united in marriage to Raymond Martin Woody in Waterford, CA. This union was blessed with three sons – Dennis Wayne, Larry Michael and Steven Martin.
After moving to the Osceola area, Helen worked 42 years at the Sac-Osage Hospital. She began her career in healthcare as a nurses aide, then an EMT and retired as a ward clerk in 2006.
Helen was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Wayne; her parents; and her siblings.
She is survived by sons, Larry Michael and wife, Sondra – Nevada and Steven Martin and wife, Candy – El Dorado Springs; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Services were held Saturday, Aug. 27, in Woody Cemetery, Osceola, with Roger Beach officiating. Music was “Amazing Grace” and “Rock Of Ages.” Interment was in Woody Cemeter under direction of Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home, Osceola.
