Jesse Thomas Lurten, 24, was born on April 12, 1996.  He passed away on February 22, 2021.  He was a shining star.  He was so special to all who knew him.  He was always strong and giving.  He was loved so much.

Jesse was very intelligent, he showed high levels in quantum mechanics.  He had so many talents, he could read very well and loved to learn.  He was extremely creative.  He loved to write poems and make up stories.  Jesse also loved swordfighting and Martial Arts.  He loved to go to in the yard and practice with his brother and friends.  He was an athlete and very concerned about physical fitness.  He could run like the wind.

Jesse was a wonderful son.  His father Russell J. lurten and mother Theresa A. Lurten will miss him dearly.  He was a terrific brother to Anthony Chastain, Corrina Lurten, and Sephrah Lurten.  He was a proud uncle to Tatianna Lurten and a caring nephew to Carla Stauffer and Latina Clough, Doug, Ross, Forest, Mathew, and Maryemma Lurten.  Jesse was the grandson of Anthony Morris and Vicki Clough, Sid and Evelyn Lurten, and the step-grandson of Patty Lurten.  He was a good friend and caring person and losing Jesse was a great loss to all who knew him, and had the privilege and honor to have known him.

He made many wonderful friends, Donnie Martin and Mike Belm were two that were always there; and Jesse knew he could count on them.  Also the wonderful people who helped him with love and courage always made him smile.

Jesse was a Child of God.  He became lost at the age of fourteen in 2010.  He didn’t like the feeling of being lost, so he sought the power of God with bitter tears until he found eternal peace with God.  One of Jesse’s theories was “There is no end to doing good when it comes to the Lord.”

We were all so very blessed to have had the opportunity to have him as part of our lives.

Music was “Where The Roses Never Fade,” “I’d Rather Have Jesus” and “Where The Soul Never Dies.”
