Karla Annette (Williams) Ervin, 66, rural El Dorado Springs, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, while surrounded by her family. Karla was born Sept. 8, 1956, in Elkhart, KS. She was the daughter of Virgil Williams and Genevieve (Davis) Williams. Karla grew up and attended school in Walker as well as Nevada, graduating in 1974.

She enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1978 and was stationed in Alaska where she met and married her husband, Reuben Ervin, of almost 43 years on the 24th of November in 1979. Two children were born of their union, Derek and Shanda. Karla and Reuben lived in Alaska until retiring and moving to El Dorado Springs in January 2005.

Karla was a devoted wife, mother, Nana and a wonderful Christian woman who touched the lives of everyone she knew and met with her smile, generosity and kind heartedness. She was a member of the Riverview Bible Church.

She loved gardening vegetables and flowers, spending time outside, baking and cooking, doing arts and crafts, and most of all being with family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Kevin Williams of Nevada, and sister Bobbi Jones of Lamar.

Survivors include her husband, Reuben; son, Derek, of Anchorage, AK; daughter, Shanda, and husband, Dakota Brumfield, and grandchildren, Kadence, Kordyn and Katherine of Tell City, IN; brother, Brett, and wife, Alice Williams of Nevada; brother, Stacy Williams of Farmington, NM, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held sometime in the spring. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society and or the American Diabetes Association.
